We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Flatbed CDL-A Driver to join our team for the delivery and pick-up of generators, compressors, and similar equipment. This position offers excellent pay and benefits, with guaranteed minimum hours and opportunities for overtime.
Compensation:
- Average Pay: $1,350 - $1,800 per week (up to $94,000 annually)
- Start at: $32.50 per hour
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week, with expected hours between 40-50 hours/week
- Overtime available at time and a half
Key Responsibilities:
- Home daily, with rare overnight stays in exceptional situations. Weekend work may occasionally be required depending on customer demand and seasonal workload fluctuations
- Flexibility in start time is required, with the standard start time at 7:30 AM (earlier start times may be required)
- Average 8-10 hours per day
- Safely operate a flatbed truck to deliver and pick up heavy equipment, including generators, compressors and wiring
- Report to customer location each morning for daily dispatch assignments
- Complete required daily paperwork and ensure safe and accurate deliveries
- No unloading or loading required- all equipment is pre-loaded or handled by the customer
- Mix of flatbed deliveries, drop and hook, and pintle hook operations

- Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including a minimum of 6 months of flatbed experience in the past 5 years
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid Class A CDL

- No reckless driving convictions in the last 5 years
- No DUI convictions in the last 5 years
- No license suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years
- No serious moving violations in the last 12 months (e.g., 15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, fatal accidents involving a CMV)
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years

- Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
- Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
- Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
- Lift and move side kits - lift requirements: 46 lbs
- Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs
- Apply and remove tarp(s) on load
- Secure load with chains and hardware - lift requirements: 80 lbs
- Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer/load
- Count freight
- Complete fuel tickets
- Complete delivery receipt
- Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Drive
- Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time
- Regular predictable attendance
