Competitive Pay:
- Average earning $1,850 per week ($94,350 per year)
- Starting pay: $37 per hour for local assignments; $0.65 cpm for over-the-road assignments
- Average 50 hours per week
Additional Earnings:
- Stop pay: $25 per stop (number of stops varies based on assignment)
- Pay for stops and loading/unloading (not all accounts)
- Detention, breakdown, and layover pay when applicable
- Company sponsored per diem program
Work Schedule:
- Steady weekly schedule with a variety of routes depending on the account you're working on
- Miles will fluctuate depending on which account you are working on
- Shifts and hours vary depending on assignment. Some assignments may be hourly, home-daily work, while others may be OTR positions that pay by miles and stops
- Driver will be assigned to various dedicated accounts in the Atlanta area
- Driver may also be assigned to yard switcher assignments
- There may be times when driver is assigned to the local service center
Equipment & Special Requirements:
- Drive a day cab, sleeper or straight truck
- Liftgate provided; driver required to operate on some accounts
- Must be willing to get TSA certification for airport deliveries (will reimburse)
- Must apply for Hazmat endorsement within 30 days of hire and must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire - will be reimbursed upon receipt
- Adaptability: Must be comfortable working with different types of freight and customers
- Flexibility: Occasionally assist with other Averitt operations to keep you on the road and working

- No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

- Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
- Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
- Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
- Count freight
- Complete fuel tickets
- Obtain sales leads
- Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
