AVERITT TAKES A FRESH APPROACH TO BENEFITS WITH RED THINKIN’ REWARDS PROGRAM

Post Date - Apr 7, 2022

At Averitt, we think we have the best team around which is why we are committed to bringing our Averitt teammates top pay and great benefits. We have a long list of incredible benefits our team loves including profit sharing, retirement plan options, great coverage options and referral rewards. We go even further to thank our team for their hard work and all they do to position Averitt as one of the best carriers in the industry through our Red Thinkin’ Rewards program.

Averitt teammates can earn Red Thinkin’ Rewards points for the things they do every day, including achieving safety milestones, years of service and meeting key performance indicator (KPI) goals. These points can be redeemed for thousands of items in our catalog, from vacation packages to golf clubs, electronics to jewelry, and everything in between. We’re always adding new items, so this list is always growing.

“Red Thinkin’ Rewards is an extremely valuable program,” says Koosman Matthews. “I was blown away when I began to look at all the rewards in the catalog and I was especially glad to see the MacBook I wanted. That shows me that Averitt really tries to go the extra yard to make their teammates feel appreciated.”

Koosman is one of our longtime city drivers and we’re proud to have him represent us out on the road. He’s earned his Red Thinkin’ Rewards points through his many years of service, meeting KPI goals, referral rewards and achievements in safety. Koosman recently celebrated 20 years of safe driving as an Averitt teammate.

It’s not just our drivers who earn Red Thinkin’ Rewards points - this is a benefit that’s available to anyone on our team. Jason Garrett is on our Knoxville preventative maintenance team and has earned points for getting service awards, referrals and keeping a top-notch shop. Jason saves his points to earn fishing gear and other items for his favorite hobby.

“I’ve been able to use my points for a fish finder for my bass boat,” Jason says. “There are great items in the catalog and I’ve got my eye on a few others I’m saving up for.”

Ron Steinmetz, one of our preventative maintenance associates in St. Louis, uses his Red Thinkin’ Rewards points for his favorite pastime of bow hunting. He recently redeemed points for a rangefinder scope for his bow.

“The way I earn most of my points is for keeping good records in the shop, making sure everything is in good shape and completing timely repairs on my trucks,” Ron explains. “There’s a lot of nice rewards in the program, so keep an eye on your points. There’s plenty of ways to earn them.”

Another way teammates use their points is for their home improvement projects. Ronald Thaxton, who works with our Dedicated team, is doing just that. He used his Red Thinkin’ Rewards points to purchase a pressure washer to use on his home, landscaping and vehicles. Ronald earns points through excelling on the job and his safety record.

“It’s a blessing that our team offers Red Thinkin’ Rewards,” Ronald adds. “I have occasionally borrowed a neighbor’s pressure washer to use around the house, but I’m so glad my points afforded me the opportunity to get my own.”

Reward options for the home range from big ticket items like a washer and dryer set to smaller items including cookware and cutlery. When Reggie Wiggins from our Clarksville Truckload driving team used his points on appliances for his home, he was able to save his hard-earned money at the same time. Reggie earns his points through length of service, safe driving, fuel efficiency and going the extra mile.

“It was time to purchase a new washer and dryer for my home, so I decided to use my points to redeem a brand-new set by Samsung. They are very nice,” says Reggie. “I encourage my teammates to check out the Red Thinkin’ Rewards program and earn those points! It’s a great perk.”
